Distribution of sugar policy finalized: Ramzan

SRINAGAR: Minister for CA&PD and Transport, Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan today said that distribution of sugar policy has been finalized and there will be no scarcity of sugar in J&K now onwards.
The Minister said this while interacting with MLA Bandipora, Mr Nizam-ud-din Bhat, who has put forth a charter of demands regarding storage and distribution of essential commodities in Bandipora district.
The Minister said that soon adequate sugar would be released to the respective ration stores of the state for onward distribution among consumers.During the meeting, MLA Bandipora sought setting up of nine new ration centers in unconnected areas of Kandi belt of the Bandipora. He also demanded rationalization of present ration depots so that supply reaches at the doorsteps of the people. He also sought more stocks in advance to cater to the needs of the people of the respective areas.
The Minister
assured the MLA that steps will be taken to provide adequate stock to all ration depots besides strengthening the distribution system so that every ration holder could get allotted ration every month as per their ration ticket.
