| University Administration has become puppet in the hands of Kashmir centric Politicians: JYM | | JU higher ups mending Short listing norms to adjust kith & kin | |
Jammu: Large scale bungling are being made in the University of Jammu (JU) in the short listings for the posts of Assistant Professor in the Department of Strategic and Regional Studies (DSRS) at the behest of higher most officials, JYM urged governor NN Vohra to take strict actions against the culprits.
Addressing the media person here today, JYM president Sanjay Sharma condemns the selection process and its short listing procedures by the University Administration to fill the post of Asstt. Professor in the Department of Strategic and Regional Studies (DSRS), Sharma alleged that University of Jammu Administration is working in a tremendous Political pressure and in such pressure it has adopted a number of discriminating and depressing policies and plans.
A number of good Departments of Jammu University are deeply lacking the Teaching and non-teaching Staff but the University of Jammu Administration is doing all efforts to provide some Politically influential candidates the opportunity of becoming Assistant Professor in a Department which is exclusively meant for Research although the blue eyed candidate is ineligible as he doesn't have appropriate qualification as per the UGC norms? And this candidate doesn't deserve to be short listed for even the interview but it seems like that University Administration has become puppet in the hands of Kashmir centric Politicians and Office Holders.
Sharma further alleged that it should be inquired in The Department of Strategic and Regional Studies (DSRS), how many PHD's have been awarded or done in this Department right from its establishment. Further, it should be noticed that already three Assistant Professors are placed there for the research and teaching purpose than what is the need of this one Assistant Professors although the most important Subjects are running without the
permanent staff of teaching. Sharma urged Governor of the State to intervene in this matter of violation of UGC norms for the selection of Assistant Professor and take some strict actions to stop the illegal and unethical procedures which includes Nepotism and Favouritism.
