| 'Chief PMG launches Sahayata Initiative in Srinagar' | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 9 : In a noble gesture to help the under privileged sections of the society, Shri John Samuel, Chief Post Master General, Jammu and Kashmir launched Sahayata Initiative by distributing school bags among inmates of Makazri Fallahi Imdad at Ishber Nishat. Sahayata Initiative has been started by Chief PMG in Jammu and Kashmir circle to help the people who are under-privileged and disadvantaged; less-fortunate and needy. This is a new initiative taken by Jammu and Kashmir Postal Circle under the name 'Sahayata Initiative'. The officers and staff members of the Department of Posts are encouraged to contribute for the social cause and as a first step the children in Nari Niketan run by the Social Welfare Department of J&K Government are helped. Chief PMG said that this initiative will encourage the people to share their resources to help the needy and underprivileged. He added "We are aware what we do in 'Sahayata initiative' is very insignificant but it is definitely in the right direction to help the society. We all can do small things like this with great love and compassion for the needy" He encouraged the staff members and others to share their resources among the people who are in need. During the visit to Nari Niketan, Chief PMG, along with the staff members interacted with the inmates and encouraged the children to have high vision and ambition to develop Jammu and Kashmir. The children were quite excited and enjoyed the interaction time with cultural programs. |
