| Police Post, 4 shops washed away floods in Baan Ganga | | | Et Report
Jammu, Aug 9: What could be termed as nature's fury, four shops and one Police Post reportedly were washed away in a flash flood that reportedly struck Baan Ganga at holy town Katra. "The incident took place in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday when Baan Ganga started flowing in full swing due to incessant rains on upper reaches, sources said. They added, "The sudden rise of water in Ban Ganga washed away four shops and a police post last late night. As per reports no loss or injury to human life is reported in the incident." Meanwhile, the vehicular movement on Katra Reasi route remained disrupted for hours together following landslide triggered due to heavy rains near Balini Check Post. The GREF personnel and machinery has been pressed into to clear the road which took hours of hectic efforts from the GREF authorities. |
