Jammu, Aug 9: A woman committed suicide while another woman was set on ablaze by her husband here today. Both the incidents took place in Gujjar Nagar area, police sources said.
As per reports, one Mehnaz wife of Shahid was set on fire by her husband.
After the incident, he fled from the spot. "The woman was rushed to the GMC Hospital Jammu where doctors confirmed 80 percent burn injuries to her. Her minor daughter also had received some burn injuries and she also was undergoing burn treatment in GMC Hospital,
sources said. In another incident, unidentified woman allegedly committed suicide by hitting hard a sharp edged weapon. Her body was rushed to the GMC Hospital for postmortem. Both the cases were registered with the Police Station Peer Mitha in walled city. |
