| Two bovine smugglers held | | |

Jammu, Aug 9: Continuing its drive against bovine smuggling, Police foiled a bovine smuggling bid to Punjab with the arrest of two bovine smugglers by intercepting a Mahindra load carrier at Bunyari on Marheen Punjab road.
As per police reports a Police Party of Polie Post Marheen headed by SI Surinder Raina under the supervision of SHO Rajbagh Inspector Naresh Kumar during a specially organized naka at Bunyari on Marheen Punjab road intercepted a Bolero (JK02 AM/0856) on its way from Marheen to Punjab. "During checking, Police Party discovered 2 buffaloes and two calves being smuggled to Punjab without any valid permission from the concerned authorities, police said. Police immediately seized the vehicle and made the arrest two bovine smugglers namely as Dev Raj S/o Ganesh Dass R/o Sanji More Distt Kathua and Om Parkash S/o Ghora R/o Rangad Pindi Distt. Gurdaspur. A case FIR No. 162/2013 U/S 188 RPC 3 PCA Act registered at Police Station Rajbagh and furthur investigation is going on. |
