JAMMU, Aug 28: Department of Students Welfare (DSW), University of Jammu has announced the schedule for electing new Cultural Council with election fixed September 30 between 11 am to 3 pm.
As per a notification issued by Election Commissioner, Prof Jasbir Singh, the last date for filling of the nomination papers is September 20 for the post of Secretary and three Joint Secretaries.
The nomination papers will be available from August 30 between 10 am to 1 pm at the office of the DSW. The scrutiny of the papers shall take place on September 11 at 2.15 pm, followed by the withdrawal, if any, on September 12 up to 3 pm.
The nomination papers shall be filled with the office of the DSW in a sealed envelope from 11 am to 2 pm on all working days up to September 10 by the candidate in person.
Botany Ph.D, M.Phil entrance on Sept 20
The Post Graduate Department of Botany has fixed September 30 as entrance date for PhD and M.Phil examinations. The test shall take place at the department on the given date at 10 am. Those interested students have been advised to submit their forms accompanied with a fee of Rs 300 well in time. Earlier, the entrance, scheduled for August 30, was postponed due to due to closer of the educational institution aftermath Kishtwar violence.
Vikas is new volleyball coach
University of Jammu has selected noted spiker of the state, Vikas Karlupia as new volleyball coach. Serving with Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police as Sub-Inspector, Vikas has yet to join the Department of Sports. With the selection of volleyball coach, JU has filled all the three vacant positions of coaches. Ravish Vaid and Gagan Kumar have already been joined the Department as Table Tennis and Football coaches respectively.
Romesh shifted to Evaluation
Working in Accounts-II, Head Assistant, Romesh Chander Gupta has been shifted to Evaluation (Non-Professional) section of the Controller of Examination in a transfer order issued by the Registrar.
Head Assistant at Department of Academic Affairs, Kuldeep Raj has been moved to Accounts-II in place of Romesh Chander. Similarly, Head Assistant, Bhuri Singh has been transferred from Evaluation to Academic Affairs vice Kuldeep Raj. |
