Ajay Sharma KATRA, Aug 28: Violating State Government's decree, restricting attachment of employees of various departments, the Directorate of Health Services Jammu has attached several affluent employees to their choicest places, leaving hospitals of peripheries deserted. Sources informed Early Times that around six months back the then Director Health had attached several employees besides transferring district cadre drivers to other districts. "The drivers with district cadre posts, who were transferred to other districts included Ajit Singh, from Primary Health Center (PHC) Pouni (Reasi) to PHC Bishnah, Rakesh Kumar from PHC Pouni to PHC Bamla and driver Harvinder Singh from PHC Pouni (Reasi) to CHC Mandi (Poonch)", sources said. Block Medical Officer Pouni Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Kohli informed that they have 4 ambulances at Pouni, for which there were six posts of drivers, but three drivers have been transferred, which has made it difficult to manage affairs. "We have to make available ambulances round the clock, but it is impossible with 3 drivers only", Kohli said. He further said that though driver Rakesh Kumar and Harvinder Singh have been transferred but he had not given them relieving orders. "It is very surprising that without relieving orders, Harvinder Singh has joined at Poonch", he said. When contacted BMO, Mandi Shameem Bhatti, and asked about reasons, how Harvinder Singh has joined without relieving orders, he refused to respond. Moreover, adding to the chaos, Director Health has also transferred 3 staff nurses against a single post in PHC Bambla (Letar). "Sunita Kumari was at PHC Bambla (Letar) and was recently transferred and Raksha Sharma was transferred to PHC Bambla (Letar)", sources said. Moreover, they rued that Sunita Kumar and another staff Nurse Salamat Bi, were also attached against one post of single staff Nurse at PHC Bambla (Later). Explaining more misdeeds of former Director Health, sources said that in violation of all set norms, Community Health Officer (CHO) Hans Raj Choudhary, has been transferred from PHC Panesa block of Pouni and attached to Chief Medical Office Jammu, while CHO Suresh Gupta was transferred from PHC Letar Bambla and attached to Director Office Jammu.
