Jammu, Aug 28: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) member Hukam Chand Sharma has threatened to start agitation against alleged involvement of senior Congress workers and sarpanches in criminal cases in Billawar and Hiranagar. According to press release, former secretary and member of JKPCC Hukam Chand Sharma visited Billawar constituency and met general public and deputations of Sarpanches. The Sapanches apprised Hukam Chand that they were facing hardship and humiliation from the goons of local MLA and police on the behest of local MLA. Hukam Chand Sharma said that some Sarpanches of Panchayat Chelakh, Mukwal, Katli, Amoala, Dhali and Mangloor have been working in favour of unity and integrity of country as well as state, but they have been facing the political terrorism and criminal conspiracies. He further alleged that the local police has registered criminal cases against them and making their illegal arrests besides harassing their families. He blamed the district administration for such anti people policies and criminal acts. Hukam Chand Sharma appealed district administration particularly police to not act on the behest of local MLA and refrain from such anti people acts otherwise he would take matter with the higher authorities of party and government. |
