Bhaderwah, Aug 28: Like other parts of the country and state, Janamashtami was today celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety in Bhaderwah town and other parts of the District.
Early this morning, the procession marking this festival was taken out which commence from Vasuki Nag temple Bhaderwah and moved through different areas attended by locals including man, women and children.
MLC Naresh Kumar Gupta, Koshal Dogra , Satish Chander Kotwal , Raj Singh Kotwal , Raj Singh Charak, Ashok Kotwal and Manjeet Singh Razdan were also accompanied the procession and greet the people on the eve of holiday.
Markets of Bhaderwah were decorated with buntings by Sanatham Dhram Sabha and strict security arrangements were made by local administration. Similar events were held at Bhaderwah, Thathri, Prem Nagar and Kishtwar areas with religious fervor.
J&K Cultural Development Forum Trikuta Nagar today organized Krishan Roop Sajja Karyakaram on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishan Janamasthmi in collabration with Sankar Bharti an all India Cultural Organisation.
State Publicity Secretary BJP Aseem Gupta was the Chief Guest and Kuldeep Raj Sharma President Sankar Bharti was Guest of Honour. Lots of Children accompanied with their parents were very nicely dress up in form of lord Krishna, Radha and Balram.
The best dress-up children were awarded momentos and rest of participants were awarded certificates. All the prominent citizens of Trikuta Nagar were also present in this occasion. Samita Dogra Gupta was announced the new member of Sankar Bharti on this occasion. |
