Jammu, Aug 28: To mark the occasion of Krishan Janmashtami, Residents of Trikuta Nagar organized a kite-flying competition.
The competition was inaugurated by SP Railways, Shiv Kumar Sharma and SHO Trikuta Nagar Chanchal Singh was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. Function was organized by Nitish Mahajan (Member D.R.U.C.C-Northern Railways) and attended by the Large Numbers of Youth, Senior Citizens and Prominent People of Trikuta Nagar.
Youth from different Sectors of Trikuta Nagar flew kites on the occasion and there were many interesting contests witnessed in the sky, as colorful kites fought for domination with each other. The blue sky was enlivened by colourful and pictorial kites.
Speaking to Media Persons, Shiv Kumar Sharma said that kite flying is part of our culture, and it should be taken up as a hobby. It is a fun sport for all times .He also congratulated the people of state on the occasion of Krishan Janmashtami. |
