| Plus 2 Lecturers Forum calls on Deputy Chief Minister | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 20: Demanding promotion for senior lecturers, a delegation of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum today called on Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and apprised him about several pending demands. According to press release, the delegation apprised Dy. Chief Minister about the pending promotion of sr. Lecturers as Principals." Thereafter the pendency of promotion of Sr Lecturers to Sr. Lecturers was discussed. The forum also put forth the deserving transfers of Principals and lecturers who have completed their tenure in Ladakh/Kashmir regions at an earliest", they said. Deputy CM assured them of an early redresal of their demands. On the other hand he also advised the teaching community to contribute their best in shaping the lives of the coming generations. He also disclosed that promotions of class IV employees in the Education Department is on the cards whereas 4000 Educational Volunteers have been appointed in the School Education Department and 375 ReT teachers have also been employed. It was also established that with the efforts of the Department, 380 ReT's would soon be appointed. Finally Dy. Chief Minister said that the state would very shortly implement the Right to Education Act which would enable Primary/Upper Primary students to have education free of cost. |
