Jammu, Nov 20 (JNF): In the much publicized Court on its own motion Public Interest Litigation regarding the crises because of shortage of LPG gas due to cap announced by Central Government, a Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Hasnain Massodi today directed state to file latest status report.
After hearing both sides, DB observed that the matter pertains to distribution of LPG Cylinders and ensuring their supply particularly during inclement cold weather in remote areas of the State. In various orders comprehensive directions were issued. However, last order was passed on April 23, 2013. The matter has come up for hearing after about seven months. Division Bench directed the respondents to file the latest status with regard to various issues which have already been highlighted in various orders and observed that the needful shall be done within two weeks and also directed Registry to list this PIL on December 12, 2013. |
