Early Times Report Reasi, Nov 20: Eight officials have been placed under suspension for their alleged involvement paper leakage during Class 12th examination being conducted at Govt Higher Secondary School Shajroo in Mahore of Reasi district. The officials placed under suspension included Centre incharge Nazir Ahmed, Superintendent Mohd Qayoom Khan, Deputy Superintendent Mohd Amin, Teachers Nazam Din and Mohd Hussain, Library Assistant Abdul Rashid and RET Ankush Sharma. According to official spokesperson following the receipt of a specific complaint Deputy Commissioner rushed SDM Mahore Ashwani Khajuria to the examination center where he found that paper was leaked well before start of examination. Spokesperson said that Deputy Commissioner Reasi has also directed registration of FIR against the erring officials and initiating departmental proceedings against above mentioned accused who have also been placed under suspension by the concerned deputy commissioner. "Salary of officials has been withheld and case is being framed for their termination from service. A detailed inquiry into the matter has been ordered, he added. Giving details about the incident, spokesperson said that the sealed envelope containing another paper of Education scheduled to be held on 22nd November was also found opened and short of requisite number of questions papers. "The English paper of class 12th was opened by the Superintendent and disclosed to students, spokesperson said, adding, "on checking it was found that the opened envelope contained 99 question papers instead of 100.' "The SDM in his report submitted pictorial evidence and statements of witnesses along with photographs of leaked papers, he added. Secretary to Government, Education Department Hirdesh Kumar Singh upon receiving the information has conveyed the district administration about cancellation of English paper at Shajroo Centre and postponement of Education paper in entire district which was scheduled for November 22. |
