| Murky transfers in Education Department | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Dec 10: Amid charges of non transparency and recent ban on transfers affecting the transfers and adjustments of various categories of teachers, it seems that only the honest candidates are likely to suffer. Reliable sources of the School Education Department told Early Times that transfers have been effected in an objectionable manner. They added and disclosed a case where a master cadre teacher, who was working in a High school of district Reasi, was first attached in a school on the pretext of deployment vide Director School Education no. DSEJ/NG/M/13889-92 dt. 11-01-2013. After11 days a corrigendum, possibly ignoring the mandatory formality of publishing the same in any news paper, was issued by the Directorate of School Education that the deployment should be read as 'on the need bases' vide Director School Education no. DSEJ/NG/M/14455-58 dt. 22-01-2013. Again after about four months the master was transfered in same High School vide Directorate no. DSEJ/NG/M/1330-33 dated 21-5-2013, with reference of administrative department letter no. Edu-ii/136/2013 dated 22-4-2013, leaving all the other promotes of 2011 at their place of posting in the remote areas of Doda and Reasi who were adjusted in these districts from district Kathua etc. It seems a mockery of the rules made by the department that every master or teacher has to spent at least two years in remote area. It is surprise that some were transferred leaving the rules aside while others got transferred after more than two years. Moreover, the modifications are done in the guise of corrigendum leaving the mandatory rules aside. Only those few are suffering who did not like unfair means. Now those are the most sufferers who have left perhaps without powerful jack or check. |
