| Pay your advance tax on time: Income Tax Commissioner | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 10: Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K A.K. Thatai today had a meeting with his officers of the rank of Joint Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Income Tax Officers stationed at Jammu.
He reviewed performances of the ranges in so far as mitigating public grievances, processing of returns and also timely issue of refunds etc. Necessary instructions were given to all the Assessing Officers to complete this work in a time bound manner. He also monitored the trend of advance tax being paid by the top assesses of J&K. While top 100 cases of this charge are being monitored by the Commissioner himself, he also called upon the range Joint Commissioners and the Assessing Officers to match the payment of taxes and especially take action in those cases where the payment of advance tax has fallen short. He also made an appeal to the tax payers at large to pay their advance tax correctly and on time. It may be mentioned that the 3rd installment for the corporate assesses and 2nd installment for other tax payers is falling due on December 15. |
