| 'North in News' celebrates Investiture Ceremony | | | early times report
Jammu, Jan 2: 'North in News' the English Daily celebrated its investiture ceremony in a special function organized at Press Club Jammu in which large number of eminent citizens besides journalists were present.
Minister for Horticulture Raman Bhalla was the chief guest while Mohd Sayed Akhoon Senior Vice President National Conference presided over the programme. Prominent others who shared the dais with chief guest included MLC Sham Lal Bhagat, DIG (Home Guard) A.K Atri and Director Tourism Soujanya Sharma were the guests of honour on the occasion whereas SSP Traffic Jammu Pawan Parihar and DTM Jammu attended the occasion as special invitees. Speaking on the occasion chief guest Minister said, "Media plays an important role in disseminating information to every nook and corner.' Complimenting the completion of 1st year of the Daily "North In News", the Minister for Horticulture, Culture and Urban Development Raman Bhalla complimented the Editor-in-Chief of the daily for carrying the healthy journalism.
Speaking on this occasion Sr Vice-President National Conference and former Minister Mohd Syed Akhnoon complimented the Rajni Sharma Editor-in-Chief of the paper for making the paper a popular one. He expressed the hope that the paper will soon touch the heights.
Director Tourism Soujanya Sharma also spoke on the occasion and underlined the role of media in construction the mass opinion in the society.
Earlier at the onset of occasion, the Editor-in-Chief Mrs Rajni Sharma in her welcome address gave detailed report of completing the one year of the paper.
