| Lawyers boycott routine work in Rajouri | | |
Rajouri: The lawyers boycotted the routine judicial work here in border district Rajouri on Wednesday to protest against inaction from part of the police and district administration action against those people who allegedly misbehaved and manhandled with Mobile Magistrate in Manjakote this morning.
The Bar Association condemned misbehaviour with magistrate; they boycotted the judicial work, which paralysed the normal work of the courts. During the meeting of Bar Association, the members demanded that police and administration needs to take strict action against those miscreant who misbehaved with mobile magistrate and his personal security guards otherwise they will hit the roads. Sources alleged that supporters of Shabir Khan protested against government by blocking the main highway at Manjakote this morning, when they misbehaved and manhandled with district mobile magistrate who was on his way to Rajouri along with personal body guards. Bar Association General Secretary Advocate Vibodh Gupta slammed this incident and demanded action against those miscreant who misbehaved with mobile magistrate. "Police needs to book these people, otherwise we lest no other option to hit the roads" he added. Others who spoke on this occasion were Advocate Quamar Choudhary, Haq Navaz Mirza, Shaqoor Mir, Khalid Fardoos and Advocate Shokat Ali. |
