| Bajrang Dal to protest against 'Valentine’s day celebrations' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 12: Asserting that it has been organizing public awareness against institutions/ festivals involved in directly or indirectly promoting the unethical and immoral practices of western world, the Bajrang Dal jammu and Kashmir has announced that it will oppose activities connected with cultural invasion including Valentine's Day celebrations which falls annually on February 14. According to spokesperson of Bajrang Dal Jammu & Kashmir unit, Valentine's Day is one such occasion which has tress passed the Indian culture and required to be checked. "Bajrang Dal has always opposed the celebrations of Valentine's Day and has lodged strong protests at the venues organizing such festivities, he said and pin pointed that some commercial organizations and restaurants organize special events to attract innocent youth towards this indecency for monetary gains. Bajrang Dal has cautioned all those involved in trying to mark this day as festival, should desist from this practice. The statement said that J&K youth have been appealed not to get carried away by the western culture and stick to the moral values suggested by Indian system.Bajrang Dal also appeals to state administration to ban such celebrations which are meant to weaken our cultural values.
