Deesu Daksum still reels under darkness, PDD in slumber

Anantnag, Feb 12 : The residents of Deesu Daksum Kokernag continue to reel under darkness as the PDD has failed to restore power supply to the area. Residents of the hamlet allege that since from last three months employees of department are missing and have failed to restore power supply. "Since ast three months we are continuously reeling under darkness and department is least bothered about us." Bashir Ahmad Khan, a resident alleged, adding their repeated requests have been turned down by the high officials besides humiliating visiting delegations including local Masjid Imam. He said, " The DD men snap power of our area and supply the current to other areas, however the bills have been delivered on time." Locals said that those families of the area who received solar lights from the state government are also reeling under darkness as the weather has not imporved. Residents who have decided not to visit the officials any further because of their discriminatory attitude, have requested Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to intervene.
