| Dalit Sena alleges victimization of scheduled caste, scheduled tribe villages | | | | Jammu, Feb 12 : Jammu & Kashmir Dalit Sena Chief, Romesh Lal Bhagat, in a handout issued here has strongly assailed the PWD (R&B), PMGSY and Forest authorities in hobnobbing & hatching a deep rooted conspiracy to deprive the Scheduled Caste village Suranga & Scheduled Tribe village Kunthal of Tehsil Thathri - Panchayat Joura Kalan of District Doda of the road connectivity facility by deviating the main road on Khara - Jai road project. He said that it is extremely regrettable that the authorities have become mute, deaf & dump over the agitating hue & cry of the villagers since 2009 and undesired & unavoidable loss to environment, extra burden on state exchequer beside loss of irrigated land of the farmers is being allowed un-noticed. The committee constituted by the government to look into the grievances of the public included the Officers/ Engineers who are responsible for creating the whole confusion & mess. The public demand that they should be given road link from their own Panchayat - Joura Kalan which falls in the straight alignment from Halaran, Budhi, Joura Kalan & Lower Shamdlian with very less or no loss to the environment, as per original survey of 1987 as also early 2007 by R&B department Gandoh for First Phase of Khara- Jai road up to Joura which was deliberatly ended at Halaran by local engineers & then handed over this road to PMGSY for deviating the original survey of 2007 & 1987 from Halaran to Joura Khurd instead of Joura (Joura Kalan). The Dalit Sena Chief Mr. Bhagat appeals the Chief Minister & Minister for Road & Buildings, Sh. Abdul Majid Wani to Kindly intervene into the matter personally & ensure that the Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe community villages Suranga & Kunthal do not become the victim of conspiracy and get benefited from the road facility through main road project of Khara - Jai Road from Joura Kalan, the central place of all adjoining villages. |
