| Class IV selected candidates slam Forest Department | | | ET REPORT
Kathua, 12 Feb: Ills of Forest Department has engulfed the lives of 14 candidates who had been selected for the posts of Class IV in district Kathua. The apathy of the Forest Department has challenged the dignity of the GAD when the GAD's directed posts of class IV were refused to fill up by the forest department with the selected 14 candidates. 14 selected applicants for the posts of class IV in the Forest department have been lagging behind the justice but the Forest Department is continually denied to give the justice to the applicants by not considering their selection and not allowing them to join the posts for which they have been selected by the District Level Class-IV Appointment Kathua headed the DC kathua. When DFO(Territorial) Kathua has been constantly refusing to accept the appointment letters of these selected 14 candidates and not allowing them join the said posts and even tried to motivate the appointees by saying that there is no vacant posts. But other side the DFO Billawar (Territorial) claimed that the department has lot of vacant posts of Class-IV in which vacant posts of different trade are as Orderly-3, Mali-2, Chowkidwar-1, and several others. As per the statement of victims Anil Singh, Ravi Khajuria, Subash Chander, Balbir Singh, Mohamad Ayub, Chet Ram, Puran Chand, Vijay Kumar, Davinder Kumar, Lekh Raj, Pritam Kumar, Suresh Singh and Shokat Ali, a Notification was published with Notification No.01 of 2006 on 22/4/2006 for filling up the 186 vacancies for Class IV in fifteen different departments in which the out of 186 vacancies, the Forest Department of District Kathua mentioned 14 posts for Class IV for District Kathua. To follow the notification, the more than 20,000 forms were filled up by the unemployed youth of the district kathua and 186 candidates were selected for all the fifteen departments.
All the selected candidates were handed over the appointment letters and they joined their respective department also, but 14 candidates who were given the appointment letters for Forest Department (Territorial) to join the mentioned Class IV posts are not allowed to join by the department with a reason of no vacancy and these genuine selected candidates are forced to face the harassment and injustice since 2006. Despite the GAD scrapped all the claims of Forest Department for not above said posts are already filled in district kathua. GAD as per the letter no. OM-GAD/Mtg/RB-IV/62/2013 dated 7/2/2014 directed to Commissioner/ Secretary to Government Forest Department to clarify the how the Class-IV posts allocated by the GAD, vide Govt Order.42-GAD of 2006 dated 09/9/2006 have been filled up, when these posts were specifically earmarked for the District since the GAD has not withdrawn these posts these continue to be allocated to the kathua district and it is the responsibility of the department to identify the posts for absorption of the 14 appointees in whose favour the appointment orders stand already issued by the Deputy Commissioner Kathua. |
