Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 1: Kundan Kahsmiri, President KPC while reacting over wrong policies of state and central governments towards Kashmir and Kashmiri pandits, stated that due to wrong handling, Kashmir has become a complex issue which requires mature understanding and dispassionate handling.
He said there are different political thoughts and demands including merger of Kashmir with Pakistan, to establish an independent state of Kashmir, greater autonomy for Kashmir and Nationalist political thought to re-establish the Indian presence in Kashmir represented by Kashmiri Pandits and some other Nationalist forces. He said KPC believe that establishment of consolidated rehabilitation of seven lakh Kashmiri Pandits at the "land of Kashyap" in Kashmir valley with complete writ of Indian constitution is viable solution of KPs Problem and would bring justice to them as well as re-establish the Indian presence in Kashmir.
Rejecting the autonomy and self rule demands of some so-called secularist parties, Which deprives constitutional access to KPs’ and also reduces the Indian sovereignty on Kashmir, KPC president Kundan Kashmiri stated that Kashmiri Pandits consider India as an extension of Kashmiri cultural ethos and as such cannot envisage any dispensation which entails them to live as sub-servant citizens in an Islamic Fundamentalists driven political order.
He further criticized some politicians who are trying to lure and mobilize displaced KPs’ for their return to Kashmir under PM's package and other cosmetic benefits, in some functions organized by their allied non-migrant KP social organizations at Jammu and Delhi recently, Kundan Kashmiri stated that it is nothing but sweet poison and to trap the community to drive them back to valley at their previous locations where rehabilitation of KP families is not possible because of various seasons.
He said government is less bothered for KPs’ welfare and meaningful rehabilitation but interested in get ride from the liability of KPs’ being migrants. He also questioned some KP social organizations for felicitations and honoring those politicians of the state who were responsible of KPs’ exodus, miseries and kept them ignored and isolated.
KPC also congratulated whole community and other shiva devotees on the eve of Maha Shiv-ratri Festival. Susheel Bhat, R L Raina, SL Zuthsi, Nana Ji, SK Mattoo, K L Koul, M L Bhat, C L Koul, Ajay Kumar and others.
