| CWA welcomes GOI's decision to create Rly Div in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 1: Consumer Welfare Association (CWA), Jammu hailed the Railway Ministry's decision to create a new Railway Division in Jammu. This was long standing demand being put forth in the Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) by Vikram Gour, President CWA who was also a member of the ZRUCC since 2004.
The CWA while thanking Railway Ministry for a gift to the people of the state especially the people of Jammu pointed out that this will go a long way in fast development of the existing Jammu Rly Stn that has already been included in category 'A +' station at the national level.
The members of CWA, including SK Gupta, DP Jhajuria, BM Kohli, VC Sharma , Chander Gulati, Chander Parkash Sharma and Rajinder Kakkar who had taken the matter with the railway authorities for improvement of the Jammu Rly Stn hoped that all improvement works will be put on fast track. "This will also greatly help and facilitate further expansion of the railway network in J&K that is national and international tourist destination, the statement said. |
