Jammu, Mar 1: A woman died after she was struck by lightning at village Nai Basti in Khour of Akhnoor, last night, police sources said.
Sources said that the victim has been identified as Jyoti Devi w/o Suraj Singh of village Nai Basti, Narayana in Khour. According to police sources the victim has gone to fields for some household chores and was struck by lightning resulting severe burns to her. "She was immediately shifted to nearby hospital where during treatment she failed to respond the treatment, they added. |
