| CITU condemns attack on rights of LIC employees of Srinagar division | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 1: Com. Sham Prasad Kesar and Com. Jagdish Raj Sharma of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) have expressed full solidarity with the Life Insurance Employees who went on one hour walk out strike on February 28 under the banner of Northern Zone Insurance Employees' Association Srinagar Division against the anti- trade union and anti- workers attitude of Senior Divisional Manager LIC OF India Srinagar Division D.C.Thakur. Addressing the media persons, Com. Jagdish Sharma condemned the attack on trade union rights of LIC employees in J&K and said that no management could suppress the voice of workers. He condemned the charge sheet and suspension of Com. A M Tantray, President of Northern Zone Insurance Employees' Association Srinagar Division and warned state wide agitation by CITU if voice of LIC employees, instead of being listened, would be suppressed by the Sr. Divisional Manager LIC of India Srinagar division, they would start strong protest demonstration. Both the leaders assured full support to the LIC employees and their trade union movement in J&K. They appealed to the management to withdraw the suspension order of Com. Tantray President NZIEA and settle all other issues on the negotiation table. |
