Neeraj Kundan is new State President of NSUI

Jammu, Mar 2: Election for State President & Committee of National Students' Union of India (NSUI), J&K concluded in Jammu & Srinagar simultaneously. Neeraj Kundan, law student from University of Jammu is elected as the State President. He won with a huge margin of 151 votes his closest rivals Raqeeq Khan. Ajay Kumar, Naseeb Ali & Bisma Choudhary got elected as National Delegates of J&K NSUI. Whereas, Sahil Raina, Amjad Batt & Anuradha Bhagat got elected as State Vice presidents. Kamal Magotra, Avijot Singh, Shabir Choudhary & Parikshit got elected as State general Secretaries & Abhishek Dogra, Ranjot Singh & Nishant Gupta got elected as State secretaries.
Terming his victory as the victory of all his supporters and well-wishers, the newly elected State President of NSUI Neeraj Kundan has dedicated his win to the visionary policy of Rahul Gandhi, Vice President, AICC, in charge National Student Union of India (NSUI).
Neeraj Kundan who polled highest number of votes 242 in the state level polls which was held in all the universities and colleges of the state on 28th Feb and 1st March, 2014 at four zonal venues ( Doda, Rajouri, Srinagar & Jammu) across the state. It is pertinent to mention that Neeraj Kundan replaced the first elected president of NSUI, J&K Uday Chib who was also present on the occasion and congratulated Neeraj Kundan.
A victory rally was also held by NSUI activists at Shahidi Chowk Jammu. Sweets were distributed and the NSUI activists danced on the tune of drums.
While addressing gathering of his supporters and the media after being elected as the new State President of NSUI, he said "This is not my victory but the victory of the students of the state and every member of the congress party: NSUI, IYC and the parent body members and office bearers who have contributed selflessly in establishing democracy in these NSUI polls.
Outlining his priorities as the new NSUI president Neeraj Kundan said that it will be the sincere endeavor to take everybody along the NSUI members and leaders who have contributed in the setting up of democratic priorities with the NSUI.
While congratulating newly elected State President & committee of NSUI, Shahnawaz Choudhary said that it is the vision of Rahul Gandhi that a second line leadership of youth to be created in the country and youth can only lead India in a better direction.
