RAJOURI, Mar 2: Elaborate security arrangements were made by the district administration in the old Rajouri city to foil any possible post cricket match incident between India and Pakistan today. Policemen and CRPF personnel were deployed in every corner of the city and were patrolling the lanes and bazaars beside CID personnel keeping eye on the trouble creators. Several clashes had taken place in the old city in the past also especially when crackers were burst by the supporters of both the teams. A clash between both the communities was also witnessed during win of India's win in last T-20 World Cup. Reliable sources said that the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) administration has snapped the free Wi Fi connection in the university campus to avoid any clash between the students of two communities as had witnessed in the past.Rajouri is a communally sensitive city and any petty incidents may turn into clash followed by curfew. It is a routine practice whenever there was any match between India and Pakistan because some anti national / anti social elements are habitual of creating trouble after such sensitive matches. Policemen were seen in every nook and corner in the old city, Jawahar Nagar and Gujjarmandi Chowk. |
