| Pahalni residents block Rajouri-Budhal road for power curtailments | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 2 : Residents of Pahalni area in Kotranka tehsil today protested over unscheduled power cuts in the areas for the last few days and blocked the Rajouri-Budhal road for over three hours. Farooq Inqalabi, a social worker who was leading the protesters said that for the last few days the power supply to Pahalini village and its adjoining area was snapped due to technical fault. He added that despite several reminders to the concerned officials the power was not restored and due to that the student communities suffering a lot as their final examinations were started on Saturday.
Many vehicles remain stranded on the roads for three hours and the commuters faced problems to reach at their destinations in time.On getting the information about the road block , Madan Lal Sharma ,SHO Budhal rushed to the spot and pacified the protesters assuring them that the matter will be taken up with the higher authorities of Power development and soon the power will be restored in the area. |
