| SVEEP roll out event held | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Mar 2: A SVEEP Roll Out programme was organized by District Administration in collaboration with Shivalik College of Education Udhampur in the premises of host college.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, N S Jamwal was the chief guest on the occasion while District Information Officer, Dr. Ashwani Hansa and Tehsildar(T), was the guest of honour in the programme.
While addressing the students on the occasion, Jamwal said that the main motive of organising such awareness programme is to sensitize the people mainly the eligible voters about the importance of their right to vote.
He said that under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal such more programmes would also be organized in near future. He called upon the student community to register them for casting vote that completes eighteen years of age and also spread this message in their surroundings and make people aware about their right to vote.
Students of the host college holding placard, speaking slogans on right to vote and urge upon the people to participate in the forth coming election for the selection of right candidate and so that a good governance would be establish for the overall development of the country. |
