| Bhella people flaws Government for ignoring Tehsil status | | |
Jammu March 2: People of Bhella area with 11 Panchayats flaws the government for ignoring Tehsil and CD block status to Bhella, while adjoining areas having only few Panchayats and a Patwar Halqa get Tehsil as well as block status.
In order to press for their demand, a deputation of seven members hailing from different parties lead by B.R. Kotwal along with Rakesh Parihar, (Congress), Romesh Chander (Congress), Dharam Singh Parihar (N.C), K Singh, Rana (N.C., beside Sarpanch Panchayat Bhella Girdhari Lal today meet top government functionary at Jammu including District President Doda Congress Naresh Gupta and appraised them about the public anger over ignoring public aspiration. The committee members though praised the the creation of new Administrative Units in all J&K State, but the committee showed its resentment for not providing Tehsil/CD Block to a majority population of a particular community residing in eleven Panchayats of existing Tehsil Thathri include Halqa Panchayat Kandote, Sharote, Panthan, Bhella, Chagsu, Panshay, Rukali, Jagota, Poneja, Bhallara and Thalella. They said that two Tehsil Headquarters i.e. existing Tehsil HQ. Thathri & new Tehsil Phagsu are there in one Patwar Halqa Jangalwar of Inderwal Constituency. They said that new Tehsil /CD Block Chiralah falls in the remotest corner of existing Tehsil Thathari which is near about 50 KM away from Thathri/Phagsu Tehsil and added that the area between Thathri & Baja Chiralah having 11 panchayat Halqas is having population of more than 20,000; that too of a particular community and termed it as a great injustice with the people living in these people.
The members of the committee requested the Hon'ble Members and demanded that either a New Tehsil/CD Block be provided in this area with its Headquarter at village Bhella or the Headquarters of new Tehsil /CD Block Phagsu and Chirallah be established at village Bhella which is the most suitable place in every respect keeping in view of topography of this area.
All the members assured the members of the Joint Party Committee that their demand is genuine and shall be highlighted before the concerned quarter for desirable results. |
