Jammu, Mar 18: Police today arrested a miscreant and recovered a sharp-edged weapon from his possession during a naka in R S Pura . A case under Arms Act was registered against the accused.
Police spokesman said during a naka duty at R.S Pura Bazaar, police team intercepted a pedestrian identified as Saneet Singh of Ward No. 3, R S Pura, Jammu.
"During his frisking, police recovered a sharp-edged weapon (Toka) from his possession which he was carrying with an intention to commit a crime," said spokesman further adding that the accused was arrested by the Police and weapon was seized.
A case against FIR No. 63/14 u/s 4/25-Arms Act has been registered at Police Station R S Pura while further investigation is on. |
