Jammu, Mar 18: Police today arrested a bootlegger and recovered around 37 pouches of liquor from his possession during a naka in Kanachack area. A case stands registered in this regard at concerned police station.
Police sources said the accused has been identified as Ravi Kumar of Jaswan.
"On specific information party led by SI Rakesh Sharma, SHO Kanachack raised a naka and intercepted a bootlegger," police said and added, "during frisking, police recovered around 37 pouches of liquor from his possession." Police said that accused was arrested on the spot and a case against FIR No. 37/14 u/s 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Kanachack police station while further investigation is on. |
