| DEO Kishtwar reviews election preparedness | | | Kishtwar, Mar 18: In order to ensure smooth conduct of a free and fare Lok Sabha Election in District Kishtwar, the District Election Officer Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan today held a detailed review meeting regarding election preparedness and management.
The meeting was attended by different nodal officers regarding Model Code of Conduct, Manpower and Material Management, Transport, EVMs, Computerization and Security. The DEO impressed upon the officers to chalk out a comprehensive action plan for ensuring a smooth election. All the nodal officers were apprised of their duties and responsibilities during election period, beside were asked to work in an impartial manner with utmost dedication to implement MCC and other guidelines of Election Commission of India in letter and spirit. The officers were also directed to prepare detailed presentations of their action taking reports on daily basis regarding the assigned duties.
Mr. Khan made it categorically clear to all the officers that any violation of the election laws must be dealt strictly and the complaints received regarding breaking of election rules be disposed off timely. He also cautioned the officers that any sort of dereliction of duty will not be tolerated and who so ever found guilty will face strict disciplinary action from the administration. |
