Samba, Mar 19: To strengthen Police Public relations and to help under privileged students of backward area, Anil Magotra, SSP Samba assisted by Vijay Pal Singh, Dy. SP HQ Samba, Inspector Ghulam Hassan Kamal, SHO P/S Samba, SI Parmodh Singh, Incharge PP Gouran, today distributed School Books/Bags/Stationery Items to the underprivileged students of Government Primary School Sumb under Civic Action Programme (CAP). Anil Magotra, SP Samba briefed about the underlined purpose of this activity and advised the students to work hard in their studies so that they can compete with other students or urban area and carve their niches in their lives and not to develop inferiority complex. The occasion was witnessed by Principal Govt. Primary School, Sumb, Sarpanch/Panches including locals of the area. They appreciated this gesture of the Police Department. Thereafter, as per the guidelines issued from Election Commissioner for ensuring free and fair poll for the Parliamentary Elections-2014, an Election Awareness cum Public Meeting was conducted by SP Samba at Sumb Samba which was attended by prominent citizens, Sarpanches and members of Civil Society Committees, Friends of Police, and other locals of Sumb area. The aim and objective of the meeting was to aware the people about the guidelines of Election Commissioner and give a sense of involvement to the common man so that they could come forward to lodge their complaints for their immediate redressal as well as to discuss , acquaint with the problems of the inhabitants of the area. The participants were exhorted to help police in eradicating the social evils of the society by way of sharing correct and timely information to police. SP Samba also highlighted that the Community Policing will help people as well as the Police to come close and solve their problems at the grass root level. People of the area welcomed the initiative taken by the SP Samba to hear them personally on spot by holding such meeting. |
