| We are an integral part of state: JKDF | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 19: Pointing towards the discriminative approach of successive regimes led by NC, Congress and PDP towards Jammu region JKDF candidate for Doda-Udhampur-Kathua Parliamentary constituency and state president Anil Gupta said, "We are an integral part of state and have a greater population than other regions. Then why should we bear with foster treatment given out to us. We earned right to economic and social status. And we will fight for our rights. To realize this dream, we the people of Jammu have to break our silence, and use our words, our thoughts to change the face of the Jammu. As a political party we determined to take up this cause and help Jammu to regain its pride, its tradition." While holding series of meetings and road shows in Basohli Town, Village Palasi, Village Nagrota Martha and Mahanpur of Basohli Assembly segment, Anil Gupta pointed out that the situation of Jammu which is the birth place of Dogras and every person living here is in sorry state. We all would like to flourish and prosper but the State developmental policies, employment plans, etc have ignored the heartland of Jammu. People of Jammu deserves more prosperous land and a far better tomorrow for which we have to stop bearing the step motherly treatment given out to us and have to break out silence. " Referring to the poor state developmental activities in the Doda-Udhampur-Kathua Parliamentary Constituency from the last ten years, Anil Gupta said, "This constituency has remained virtually unrepresented due to the apathetic approach of Congress Party and its elected representative. Congress Party for the sake of Vote Bank have always adopted appeasement policy just to serve the interests of few and thus allowing this region to fall prey to discrimination. He added, Ranjeet Sagar Dam situated in Basohli is producing the electricity, but same is being outsourced to neighbouring State of Punjab. We have vast natural resources but State Government have not a capability and resources to utilize the same as of resultant outsiders receive the benefits of same, whereas areas of J&K still plunder in the darkness due to scarcity of electricity. Ranjeet Sagar Dam could have been better utilized to provide employment to local youth of Basohli but unfortunately people of this State particularly Basohli didn't get any benefit from this project. Earlier Anil Gupta also interacted with various deputations and local representatives of the area. He received overwhelming response from youth, Students, Ladies and prominent citizens of the area who gathered in large numbers to support his candidature from the constituency. Anil Gupta was accompanied by Senior JKDF activists Sh. Chander Mohan Sharma, Munish Khajuria , Naveen Sharma and others. |
