| BGSBU introduces 6 new PG courses: Prof Hamal | | | Early Times Report
rajouri, May 5: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri today convened Board of Studies (BoS) meeting for Education and English subjects in which curriculum was framed and deliberations were made on question paper settings and various other academic issues.
A meeting of Board of Studies for English subject was also held in the VC's Meeting Hall which was also chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof I A Hamal. Prof Vandana Sharma, Director School of languages, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra, Prof Deek Sheekha, University of Jammu, Dean Academic Affairs of BGSBU Prof AK Koul, Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor Suneet Gupta and Assistant Registrar Academic Affairs Shabina Nazir were present on the occasion.
In this meeting curriculum for English subject was framed and deliberations conducted on academic issues of the subject.
Meeting of Board of Studies meeting for Education (M.Ed.) was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Irshad A Hamal while Prof A G Madhosh, former HoD, Department of Education, University of Kashmir, Prof Lokesh Verma, Former HoD, Education, University of Jammu, Prof Hans Raj Shaan of University of Jammu, Dean Academic Affairs of BGSBU Prof AK Koul, Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor Suneet Gupta and Assistant Registrar Academic Affairs Shabina Nazir were present on the occasion. Members deliberated on certain topics and finalized curriculum of M.Ed programme which will commence from the current academic session.
Vice Chancellor Prof Hamal said that University is initiating these subjects from the academic session 2014 and the stage has been set to launch these subjects.
He added that besides M.A Eng;lish and M.Ed, they have also introduced M.Sc Botany, M.Sc Zoology, M.A Economics and M.Sc Computer Sciences and hoped better response in these subject this year. He expressed satisfaction over the working of the University. |
