| Land Feud: Alleged victim flays inaction of Police | | | Vijaypur, May 5 : A victim of land feud today alleged the inaction of police in his case where some village influential are in making advances to transfer his land in their names and even have manhandled him in the month of March. Although the matter was taken to the police yet no concrete action has been taken in this regard. Addressing a press conference one Sudhagar Mal s/o late Rakha Ram of Khor Slarian of Samba alleged that Babu Ram and some other villagers wanted to transfer his land in their name with the active help of sarpanch and chairman which was resisted by him.
"On March 27, when he resisted their move again and infuriated rivals severely beat him up and was hospitalized at GMC&H Jammu, he said.
"Though I have reported the matter to concerned Police on the same day but the Babu Ram and others including men and women barged forcibly in my house on March 28 while he was being hospitalized at GMC&H Jammu and beat my wife and sister who were at home, he added.
"Despite lapse of over a month no action has been taken by the police so far, he alleged and added, "I had also met SSP samba in this connection but except assurance nothing came in return. |
