| Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 6 animals rescued | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 5: In its continuous drive against bovine smuggling, Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid rescued 6 bovines at Jatwal. Police spokesman said that on specific information party led by Inspector Bharat Sharma, SHO Ghagwal under the supervision of Vijay Pal Singh, DySP (HQ) Samba raised a Naka at Jatwal, Ghagwal and intercepted one Mahindra-207 bearing registration number JK08C-8933 in which 06 bovine animals were loaded for illegal transportation without permission from Kathua towards Jammu. "On seeing the police party, the driver fled away leaving the vehicle on spot", said spokesman adding that the vehicle was seized and a under case FIR No. 30/2014 under sections 188 of RPC, 2/3 PC Act and 184 M.V Act was registered at Ghagwal police station. Spokesman further added that efforts are being made to on to nab the absconding driver. |
