| HC restrains recommendation for promotion of Asst Professor in GMC | | | Jammu, May 16 (JNF): In a petition filed by Dr. Rachan Sabharwal challenging the exercise being made by the Official respondents to illegally promote the Dr. Kapila Raina as an Asst Professor, in the stream of Bio Chemistry in Govt Medical College Jammu, Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur after hearing Adv Aseem Sawhney appearing for the petitioner issued notice to respondents.
Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur further observed that Adv Aseem Sawhney appearing for the petitioner states that despite there being clear directions from Court in SWP NO 341/2013 whereby it was specifically ordered that the case of the Dr. Kapila Raina will not be considered for further promotion, the respondents have forwarded the name of Dr. Kapila Raina to PSC declaring her eligible for consideration for the promotion of Assistant Professor Bio Chemistry in Govt Medical College Jammu, directed that in view of the fact that court has already issued a directions restraining respondents from consideration of any further promotion, ordered that recommendation made by the Govt to the PSC in favour of Dr. Kapila Raina shall not be acted upon.
