Jammu, July 2: Block Congress Committee Hirangar has expressed concern over petrol price hike and criticized the Narender Modi led Bhartiya Janta Party government. According to press release, a meeting of BCC was held under the presidentship of Subash Chander Gupta at Kathua, which was attended by party workers including Panchs and Sarpanches attended the meeting. Resentment was expressed by all the speakers against NDA government led by Prime minister Narinder Modi regarding heavy increase in Railway fare and freight, and increase in prices Petrol , diesel , LPG cylinders. Gupta while addressing the workers also shown his great concerned regarding heavy increase in Petrol , diesel , LPG gas cylinders prices and also increase in Railway fare and freight and demanded that NDA Government should immediately withdraw the increase in prices of Petrol, Diesel, LPG cylinders, and hike in Railway fare and freight, because the common man cannot afford to bear this type of heavy burden on the day to day consumable items. He appealed the Congress workers to work unitedly for the success of congress party candidates in the coming assembly elections. It was unanimously resolved in the meeting that Sonia Gandhi, President All India Congress Committee be requested to project Ghulam Nabi Azad as Chief ministerial candidate in the coming assembly election. The resolution was endorsed by all the workers present in the meeting. |
