| Association of Paramedical Colleges constituted | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 2: Paramedical Colleges of Jammu province constituted its association under the name Association of Paramedical Colleges Jammu (APCJ) to carry out various activities for the development of the sector here in Jammu. According to press release, the association unanimously elected MS Katoch Chairman, Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing as President, Dr YS Manhas Chairman Baba Institute of Paramedical Rajouri as vice President, Dr Sukhpreet Singh Chairman of Shri Gurunanak Paramedical Institute as General secretary, Dr Akash Chairman of Akash Paramedical Institute Udhampur as Treasurer of APCJ.Speaking on the occasion newly elected President said that there were 58 Paramedical Institutions in Jammu province imparting education to more than 10000 students hailing from different parts of the state of J&K as well as adjoining states. He further added that the Institutions as well as students both have many difficulties which need to be settled down immediately, the formation of association would help to work as bridge between students, colleges and the Government. The association would take up all the pending issues immediately at appropriate levels for finding out suitable solutions. The also resolved to meet President, Vice President of the J&K state paramedical Council very shortly. Katoch also said the field was an emerging sector where lot opportunities are available in different areas for the youth. |
