Jammu, July 2: State Government Employees Joint Action Committee (SGEJAC) has threatened to hold agitation and demonstrations in favour of their demands on July 10 outside Divisional Commissioner's office Jammu. According to press release, a meeting of the senior leadership of the SGEJAC was held here today under the presidium of Sushil Sudan , Subhash Verma, Suresh Sharma and Babu Hussain Malik, and was attended all the constituents of the GEJAC to discuss strategy and planning for the success of protest demonstrations. The employees leaders stated that the main protest would be held in front of office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu at 10 AM on July 10th. Moreover at the same time, employees would also assemble in the lawns of office of commercial Sales Tax Panama Chowk for the same. Kartar Chand Dubey, Vinod Sharma, Maheshwar Sharma, Nazir Ahamed, Sewa Singh Rathor,Manjoor Ali etc were prominent who were present in the meeting and appealed the employees to make the protest programme of 10th July. Their demands included regularization of daily wagers, adhoc , contractual and consolidated workers, framing of clear policy for the incumbents engaged after 1994, removal of pay anomalies of clerical and others cadres, payment of balance 6th pay commission arrears in cash, release of 10% DA, implementation of defined pension scheme, budgetary support to the PSUs, mediclaim policy in favour of non gazette employees of Govt./PSU/autonomous bodies, restructuring of PSUs, qualifying service for pension at par with centre, dislocation allowance to the employees posted in rural and far-flung areas, increase in the medical allowance to Rs. 1000/- per month, daily wages to Rs. 300/per day, reorganistion of the Estate department. |
