Jammu, June 2: Narwal police seized a consignment of Charas being carried in a Ambulance besides made the arrest of smuggler effective, here today.
Giving information SDPO East Rafiq Manhas said that , Police Post Narwal led by SI Nayat Ali under the Jurisdiction of P/S Trikuta Nagar, led by I/C PP Narwal laid a surprised naka at Narwal and around 07:45 PM in the evening hours of Wednesday intercepted, an Ambulance bearing Temporary Registration No. MP11TR/A-5859 and during thorough search, recovered 1 KG Charas from the said vehicle. The driver of the said vehicle has been identified as Sukhdev Singh S/o Raghubir Singh R/o H.No.45 Ward No.7 and Dalip Singh Gali, Gardawali, Teh Dasua Distt Hoshiarpur Punjab was arrested by the Police Post Narwal Jammu. In this regard, a case FIR No. 122/2014 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered and investigation has been started.
