Jammu, July 27: The fast track recruitment of coalition Government hwas going on virtually at snail's pace as the joining letters of 107 Sub-inspectors in Finance Department have been withheld since last two months after publication of final selection list by Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) on May 12, 2014.
Sources told Early Times that Service Selection Board had advertised 107 posts of Sub-Inspectors (Divisional Cadre Jammu) in Finance Department on 10/05/2013 as per notification no. 06 of 2013. Initially the recruitment process for the posts took place on fast track mode but the process was slowed down in the end allegedly with malafide intentions, they said.
Elucidating the chronology of the recruitment process, sources divulged "The posts were advertised on 10/05/2013 and written test for the same was held on September 21, 2013, result of the qualified candidates was declared on January 11, 2014 and interviews were held by the recruiting agency from January 22 to 31, 2014 and the final selection list was out on May 12, 2014 but two months have passed till date no joining process has been initiated by the department for the selected candidates.
However, earlier the employees of Finance Department had raised an objection with the authority and sought share out of 107 posts for their children and in this regard they filed case in the court of law subsequently High Court passed direction in SWP No. 2086/2013 and CMA No. 3072/2013 to the concern authority to keep 32 posts unfilled.
Though the list of the reaming 75 candidates was out yet no joining letter has been sent to any candidates, they said further adding that the aspirants have suspected the conspiracy behind the withholding of joining letters of selected candidates for buying time to adjust their near and dear.
They alleged that Department is deliberately delaying to make joining process as after few months the Model Code Of Conduct will be imposed in the state due to assembly elections which are due in November-December this year and government want to linger on process to adjust their near and dear ones.
