| Mehbooba postpones Jammu visit | | |

Jammu, Sept 4: Keeping in view the prevailing grave situation across the State especially in the Kashmir Valley due to incessant rains and flash floods, president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti postponed her two-day visit to Jammu.
According to spokesman of the PDP, Mehbooba Mufti was scheduled to hold interaction with Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) at Jagti Township on September 5. She was also scheduled to hold meetings with senior party functionaries' on September 6.
"Due to prevailing situation in the State, PDP president has postpones her visit", spokesman said and added that PDP president has expressed solidarity with the flood sufferers. She has also directed her party cadres to render all assistance to the administration and flood affected families so as to minimize hardship being faced by the people. She further asked her party cadre to provide relief to the flood affected families at their respective areas. |
