| DSA-JK criticizes Government's apathy to dental surgeons | | | Jammu, Sept 4: On behalf of Dental Surgeons Association Jammu and Kashmir (DSA-JK ) chairman Dr Pawan Singh Jasrotia condemned the pathetic condition of future dental surgeons and cream of society in Indira Gandhi Govt Dental Hospital Jammu. According to press release, he said that the the college as well as hostel campus which is facilitated with emergency power line has been faded since one and half year, no prompt action has been taken since after damage of emergency light transformer , hampering routine of self studies and preparartion during the time of examination.. "The basic eminities like chairs in the dinning hall of boys hostel are not available since last one year .That is why the doctors are compelled to take their meal in standing or sitting on the dinning table.Inspite of the many requests before the college authorities the furniture has not been provided for the same ", he said. He further said that the college was started in 2004 but till yet, either college campus or in hospital there was no canteen or Cafeteria which was very much required in such premises. "The IGGDC library timing has narrow time span for self studing and consulting the books even after requesting to increase the timing upto 8 pm has not been implimented, whereas gmc library remain open upto 8 pm in the evening", he claimed.He requested to college authorities to look in this matter and take prompt initiative at the earliest. |
