Kathua, Sept 4 : Demanding setting-up tehsil office at Marheen, the local residents today met Deputy Commissioner Kathua on Thursday.
The deputation was led by National Conference's leader Dharam Paul, apprised DC Kathua Shaheed Iqbal about the loss to the people of Marheen if Tehsil office would not be constructed in Marheen. He said, Marheen is the central point with equal distances of most the surrounding villages falling in Marheen Tehsil, so the construction of Tehsil office in Marheen will facilitate entire area of the Tehsil Marheen. In his respond to deputation, DC Kathua has given full assurance to look into the matter and do the justice with the people of the area. Thuru Ram, Surinder Singh, Raj Singh, Shiv Dev Singh and many others were also joined the deputation. |
