Jammu, Nov 16: Indira Gandhi National Open University's study centre number 1250 today organized Induction programme for the students of registered with the Centre in various courses for July 2014 session. According to press release, the programme was attended by many students of the certificate, Diploma, under-graduate and post-graduate courses. Principal of the College Prof. S.S Bhalwal conveyed his best wishes to the students. While, speaking on the occasion Coordinator Prof. Sudhir Singh said that IGNOU has devised a facilitative and interactive mode of communication with its learners through its website and publications. All the students were advised to know about various statutes of the University. "We have been recording a steady growth at this centre and huge demand of this Centre is a pleasant challenge. We can make learning at IGNOU more interesting by timely response to processes and optimum use of resources," he added. He also advised the students regarding observing the deadlines for re-registration, assignment submission and examination form. Website URLs of IGNOU Delhi and Jammu, e-mail and contact numbers of the Centre were also informed to the students for their convenience. Meanwhile, Incharge Counselling Prof. Romesh Chander Sharma said the counseling schedules and counsellors involved. "We would start PCPs January 28th, 2014 and all may attend them as per the schedule," he said. On the occasion, the study material was also distributed among the students. |
