Jammu, Nov 16 : The nomination of 90 candidates was today cleared by the Returning Officers of concerned constituencies after scrutiny for phase two of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Polls. Five-phase Jammu and Kashmir elections will begin from November 25 while the second phase in nine Assembly Segments of Jammu Province will be held on December 2. "The scrutiny of candidates who filed their nomination papers for 2nd phase of Assembly Elections was held today in the offices of Returning officers of their respective constituencies, in which 90 candidates were found eligible in Jammu Province," an official here today said. He said from Gulabgarh Assembly Constituency, the nomination papers of eight candidates, from Reasi Assembly Constituency, the nomination papers of 14 candidates, from Gool Arnas Assembly Constituency, the nomination papers of 10 candidates, from Udhampur Assembly Constituency, the nomination papers of 10 candidates, from Chenani (SC) Assembly Constituency, the nomination papers of 7 candidates, from Ramnagar Assembly Constituency, the nomination papers of 7 candidates, from Surankote Assembly Constituency, the nomination papers of 10 candidates, from Mendhar Assembly Constituency, the nomination papers of 13 candidates and from Haveli Assembly Constituency, the nomination papers of 11 candidates were cleared. "The last day for withdrawal of nomination papers will be November 17 and polling is scheduled to be held on December 2," he added. |
